Wicker styles offer a gracious invite for nooks and sunrooms while chrome and wood pairings are an excellent choice for busy spots. Create a central focus in any room with pedestal dining tables. Pedestal tables became popular in Victorian times when the majority of furniture was large and bulky. To prevent this happening, furniture designers created furniture with low rounded pedestals and large extended feet rather than legs. It was not acceptable back then to refer to body parts in polite conversation, for example one would not refer to furniture legs!
